About the Team

Our accounting and finance professionals are charged with taking a highly analytical approach towards financial data across every part of our business. We identify financial successes and opportunities, and then create detailed growth plans to reach and exceed our company goals. We bring numbers to life by developing innovative and strategic reporting as well as actionable insights for key stakeholders and executive leadership. Just as Fanatics continues to rapidly grow, we encourage our team members to do the same by supporting continued education and offering internal career advancement in various areas of Accounting and Finance.

Responsible for developing/assisting Chief Accounting Officer (Controller) with the development of core professional programs within the Accounting Department, such as: •Internship Support •Campus relationships  •Mentoring Programs •Professional Development (Continuing Professional Education) •Rotation Programs •Assist Controller with developing department maturity  •General Department Functions 

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: •Liaison with Universities to assist with developing relationship with Campus Accounting Departments, including Accounting Association and Beta Alpha Psi Groups (Student Organizations) •Develop and coordinate Internship and Staff functions that nurture key relationships among the department •Develop and assist with coordination of mentoring/relationship programs; help to build positive and open environment within the department •Develop and assist with the coordination of department Accounting meetings, conferences, and/or professional development education programs •Develop and assist with department rotation program (what are the interest of team, coordinate, pair rotation); includes coordination of timing/moves among the departments within accounting •Assist Controller on administrative matters/programs as needed (including general department functions) •Assist HR Partner as needed on key activities within accounting

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, HR Administration, Behavioral Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: •Ability to manage multiple task •Ability to work with all levels of professionals (Sr. Leaders, new staff, interns) •Have outstanding organizational skills •Outstanding professionalism to work with external partners •Effective communication skills (verbal/written) •Understanding and knowledge of professional departments, such as accounting programs a plus •Experience with University relationships a plus •Experience with CPA educational requirements a plus •Strong PC skills to develop core presentations (internally/externally) •Attitude of no job to small; willing and capable of being flexible  •3+ years of experience
