About the Role

We are seeking a Product Data Scientist with a strong background in SQL and a deep understanding of KPIs and product development to support our product teams.

In this role, you will analyze user behaviour, identify areas of improvement, and provide actionable insights to help drive better product development. Your expertise in onboarding funnels, retention metrics, conversion funnels, user segmentation, and retention predictors will be invaluable in shaping our products' success.

Responsiblities

Work closely with production teams to provide insights to understand the impact of product decisions on game quality, as the game moves through its development phases
Analyze gameplay and economy telemetry data to understand how feature, content and balance adjustments are impacting overall player experience, before and after the product launches
Analyze game and player data to understand the player behavior and enhance the quality of the player experience
Leverage SQL to analyze large datasets and extract valuable insights
Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track product performance and communicate findings to stakeholders
Analyze onboarding funnels, conversion funnels, retention metrics, and user segmentation to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth
Provide actionable recommendations to the product team based on data-driven insights, helping to inform product strategy and development decisions
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, gaming, and web3, and apply this knowledge to inform your work
Act as a thought leader within the organization, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making

What You Bring

4+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on product development
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma, Power BI)
Strong understanding of KPIs, onboarding funnels, retention metrics, conversion funnels, user segmentation, and retention predictors
Ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for product teams
Experience working with large datasets and a solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative and open-minded, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
(Bonus) Knowledge of the gaming or web3 industry and related metrics
(Bonus) Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data analysis and manipulation

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
