Role overview
As a Backend Engineer at Hyperbolic Labs, you will work with our Product Team and our Full-Stack Engineer to develop the core backend systems and services that power our GPU marketplace and AI inference products. This role requires the candidate to reside in the United States. Team members are expected to work in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area at least 75% of the time.

We are looking for individuals who:

Have a passion for building products and tooling.

Have strong software engineering skills with a proven track record of independently driving or leading scalable projects.

Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.

Have experience with microservices and architectures, such as pub/sub and messaging queues.

Expertise in databases, with a deep understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning to handle large-scale data efficiently.

Experience with AWS services, including EC2, ElastiCache, and RDS.

Familiarity with Stripe billing.

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
