**Job Title: Data Analyst / BI Developer**
**Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)**
**Type: Contract**
**Key Responsibilities**
* Extract, clean, and transform data using tools such as SQL, Python, or Power Query.
* Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
* Automate data workflows and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and accuracy.
* Conduct data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective data-driven solutions.
* Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting platforms and datasets.
* Continuously improve data collection, transformation, and visualization processes to support scalability and business growth.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, macros), and Python for data automation.
* Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI and visualization tools.
* Solid understanding of ETL processes and data management best practices.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
**Preferred Skills**
* Experience automating reporting pipelines using Python or Power Automate.
* Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
* Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
* Strong understanding of business metrics and KPI reporting frameworks.
