Role overview
We are looking for a Data Scientist to partner with our People and Recruiting teams to add data science firepower to these groups. Reporting into the Data Science team, this role would sit at the intersection of Data Science and People Operations, using data science tools and skills to perform complex analysis of our Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Interview processes, and using data to influence talent acquisition strategies. In this role you will be defining experiments, digging through data to provide insights, and helping to measure the success of our recruiting and retention efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop a deep understanding of Recruiting and HR workflows, and the talent acquisition and retainment strategies those workflows power
- Work with stakeholders to optimize tactics and run experiments to improve our recruiting process
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle for analytics projects, from translating business questions into hypotheses to determining data requirements to building out analytical solutions
- Partner with People Ops to define success metrics, and own the vision and execution for tracking those metrics
- Identify operations to automate reports, partnering with People Operations
- Conduct ad-hoc “deep dive” analysis
What we're looking for
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or other technical discipline
- Experience in a data analytics/science role
- Familiarity with HRIS and Recruiting tools
- Strong SQL skills are a must, including data modeling
- Experience building, deploying, and training people how to use BI Dashboards
- Strong interpersonal skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing people metrics
- Experience with Python
- Experience with data modeling tools like DBT
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow
