Job Description:
Join us for a 12-14 week paid internship (Spring or Summer) that offers personal and professional development. JD Tech AI Lab at Silicon Valley is looking for research scientist interns with strong backgrounds in machine learning, big data, and deep learning. You will be uniquely positioned in our team to work on challenging problems and advance the frontiers of AI technologies. For example, we are targeting at building an automated ads campaign optimization using machine learning and big data analysis for customers who want to open an overseas market. Applying user modeling and ads optimization would greatly improve the performance of ads as well as reduce the total cost of ads campaign, thus generating revenue.
What we're looking for
- Conduct applied research and development in machine learning, big data, and deep learning.
- Develop AI products, research, and evaluate state-of-the-art AI algorithms for ads optimization, user modeling, knowledge graph, graph convolutional networks, and reinforcement learning.
- Gather and analyze industrial data, including collecting, processing, engineering, analyzing, statistically reasoning, and storing of data.
- Implementing systematic components to support products, including but are not limited to the database, frontend, automated pipeline, deployment, and serving.
- Strong analytical skills (SQL, statistics, SPARK, etc.).
- Ability to quickly prototype with practical algorithms and write high-quality code in a programming language (such as Python, Java).
- Familiar with at least one of the deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Pytorch, Caffe, Mxnet, etc.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new things.
