The Media Analytics Department at NEC Labs America solves fundamental challenges in computer vision, with a focus on autonomy, embodied AI, LLM agents and foundational vision-language models. We are seeking research engineers with skills and experience in developing autonomy and robotics stacks (sensors, perception, navigation, planning, control, or simulation). * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with commensurate years of relevant experience
* Skills in one or more of calibration, perception, prediction, or planning for autonomy or robotics
* Development experience with ROS or ROS2 deployed on mobility or robotics hardware
* Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow

**Desirable Skills:**

* Development experience in C, C++
* Proficiency in version control systems
* Familiarity with graphics toolkits and OpenCV

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000/annually, depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience and area of expertise. This role is eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program.
