What you'll work on
- Lead in the identification and use case development for innovative emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, to enhance global trade compliance processes and improve decision-making.
- Develop and implement technology enablers to support global trade compliance processes, including the evaluation and implementation of high-profile initiatives.
- Manage the integration of new acquisitions into the trade technology landscape, coordinating with Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Finance Shared Services (FSS) and other stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute multiple strategic complex projects and technology initiatives within the function.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in GTC of innovation, efficiency and compliance.
- Participate and co-chair in technology forums within the function, AbbVie, and/or external associations to identify and anticipate opportunities and allow for benchmarking.
- Establish and monitor trade metrics and key performance indicators to enable a more data-driven decision-making environment while allowing for an effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as: R&D, Operations (e.g., Manufacturing, Supply Chain) and other relevant areas, to ensure alignment and integration of functional activities.
- Exemplify AbbVie leadership principles and provide innovative, strategic, and evidence-based support to lead and create opportunities for innovation.
- Translate strategic vision into tactical action by identifying the highest impact ideas and plans and focusing efforts to work well across functional priorities.
What we're looking for
- University degree or background in a related field (e.g., business administration, information technology, engineering, supply chain, logistics, computer science, data science). Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience strategy, technology management, or related field, with a proven track record of success in leading strategic initiatives.
- Understanding of global trade compliance regulations and processes, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to address compliance challenges.
- Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing technology solutions, preferably in the trade compliance or supply chain domain.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights from data and drive data-driven decision-making.
