Role overview
You will be a part of a small and dynamic global team pioneering the next wave of AI-driven quantitative trading. You will get an opportunity to help us deploy our latest research on purely-quantitative predictive models, free from discretionary biases, and help enable a whole new generation of vehicles to shape the future of investing.
As the operations lead, you will take ownership of all operations, travel and offsite planning, finance, payroll, taxes and HR. You will be the main point of contact or third-party providers for book-keeping, taxes, other operational needs, as well as exchanges, banks, clearing houses, and other financial institutions and providers we have relationships with.
We do not require prior experience with trading operations or finance, we are open to an exceptional entry-level applicant or an experienced contributor who has taken ownership of business operations before, who values learning the latest and greatest tools fast with collaborative iteration with the rest of the team to build robust processes, with as much automation as possible.
What we're looking for
- Visionary Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of business operations, including travel, offsite planning, finance, payroll, taxes, and HR. Develop and maintain robust operational processes with a focus on automation and efficiency. Collaborate in developing strategies that not only align with, but also advance our mission and objectives.
- Purpose-Driven Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the narrative builder and the liaison, not just a point of contact, with our third-party service providers, key financial institutions, and other key stakeholders. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to support business needs. Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and other external entities to ensure alignment with company goals and standards. Your communications will directly influence our operational efficiency and strategic goals.
- Innovative Process Optimization: Create and implement groundbreaking operational processes that not only enhance efficiency but also contribute to the company's long-term strategic objectives. Continuously identify and implement improvements in operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support the growth of the business.
- Empowered Financial Oversight: Play a key role in shaping our financial strategies. Your insights will guide budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Monitor and manage financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Team Leadership and Development: Assume a leadership role that empowers and mentors our team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Lead and mentor a dynamic team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Adaptable Experience: While experience in operational management is valued, we prioritize your ability to adapt, learn, and grow over specific past roles or sectors.
- Skill Versatility: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Email, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) is just the start. We value your ability to harness any tool or technology to turn data into strategy, including large language models, such as ChatGPT, agent systems and more.
