OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our growing asset management team focusing on digital assets and decentralised finance (DeFi). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing quantitative trading strategies, risk models, and portfolio analytics through Fireblocks. They will work closely with a research Quant in an operational capacity to drive alpha generation and sustainable long-term performance.
We hold the requisite licensing and infrastructure to compliantly manage digital asset investments for wholesale clients within Australia. This role comes with revenue sharing from asset management fees and includes an equity component. With over $200 million of distribution ready to deploy over the next 12 months, we anticipate a strong response and encourage early applications.
What we're looking for
Required Skills & Qualifications• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Finance). • Quantitative Expertise: Strong foundation in mathematical modelling, time-series analysis, stochastic processes, or machine learning. • Programming Proficiency: Expertise in Python is preferred; experience with R, C++, or Java is a plus. Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn) is important. • Finance & Crypto Knowledge: Demonstrated interest in or experience with digital assets, blockchain technology, and decentralised finance. Familiarity with spot, derivatives, and structured products is beneficial. • Analytical Mindset: Evidence of creative problem-solving, a rigorous approach to research, and strong critical thinking skills. • Communication: Ability to explain complex quantitative methods and strategy rationales to both technical and non-technical audiences, in written and verbal form. • Teamwork: Eagerness to collaborate across diverse teams—portfolio managers, developers, risk officers—to achieve strategic objectives.
