About Maker MakerDAO is an Ethereum-based protocol that issues the DAI stablecoin and facilitates collateral-backed loans without an intermediary. Its widespread use and DeFi integration make MakerDAO one of the most operational protocols in the crypto ecosystem.
Distributed Teams We form our teams around the availability of talent into co-located or distributed agile teams. On the TechOps side you will work together with our DevOps engineering team across the world, to make sure we have best-of-breed tools, practices, and processes with a strong focus on automating everywhere it makes sense. To get additional coverage we are looking for three additions to the team. One of them will be located in the Asia-Pacific time zone, one in Europe and the other in the US time zone. This is a completely remote position. The responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advance notice. No regular travel is required but the budget for conferences and training is in place.
What you'll work on
Experience with the following or equivalent technologies & practices is an essential part of your skillset: • Most AWS services; other cloud providers is a plus; • Linux system administration and shell scripting; • Infrastructure automation and Configuration Management tools; • Ability to design, implement, maintain and collaborate on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform); • Deploy services to Container Clusters (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS); • Monitoring, Observability, Debugging and Performance tuning (Prometheus, Grafana); • On-call experience (PagerDuty); • Basic programming (Python); • Git/GitHub knowledge - usage and administration of multiple Organisations; • Conceptual and implementational knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions); • Experience with disaster recovery implementation and strategies; and • Interpersonal skills working with stakeholders at different technical levels and backgrounds
A plus if you'd bring • Knowledge of Web3 and a keen interest to learn more. • Configuring and maintaining Ethereum nodes. • Familiarity with working in a startup environment. • Experience working with Open Source. • Experience working and collaborating in a digital native environment (Discord, JIRA, Notion).
