With this position we offer:The opportunity to join the development organization for Nasdaq SMARTS. Our SMARTS Surveillance technology powers surveillance and compliance for over 40 marketplaces, 11 regulators and 100 market participants across 65 markets globally. Scalable to millions of transactions and flexible to manage various unique data sources, SMARTS Surveillance holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes. We are currently seeking a Senior Manager with previous experience in managing teams and back-end java development to manage and build the Connectors team in Bangalore. The team works closely with Product, Operations as well as the sister Connectors team in Sydney to maintain and enhance the NTS data collection and conversion infrastructure. The teams are responsible for all the major software components required to collect and convert the data streams, which are the lifeblood of the NTS customer offering.In addition to the ongoing maintenance, upgrades and enhancements to continuously support our existing NTS customers, the team provides the functionality to support new markets, new data streams, new customer subscriptions and new initiatives (e.g. Tier 3 customers, expanding Crypto offering, AWS Cloud migration).
Your roles and responsibilities :
As a Senior Manager, your focus will be on leading development resources and their workloads so that the projects can be delivered on time with high quality. In addition to the following roles and responsibilities, you will also be required to help guide the technical aspects of the project.
Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs; implements and/or maintains software solutions for more sophisticated assignments. Resolves systems software design requirements. Designs, develops, modifies, adapts and implements short– and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure. Leads a team of professional employees and/or supervisors. Aids' employees in the goal setting and performance review processes; performs other talent management and development decisions as needed. Takes accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline; plans and implements procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Allocates resources and assigns responsibilities for projects and assignments, checking status as well as providing updates to management regularly and ensuring that the project is delivered within specified timeframes. Participates in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to the organizational strategy. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers. Evaluates current business processes and systems and formulates department/unit policies and practices. Coordinates financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency. Reviews performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels. Motivates, develops, recruits and retains employees while rewarding and encouraging a culture of high performing teams.
