Job Description: SAS Engineer Job Description: We are looking for a skilled SAS Engineer to develop and support analytic solutions in the payments and financial crime domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAS technologies, particularly SAS 9.4_M3, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS reporting and analytics solutions. This role requires a solid understanding of payments and financial crime and the ability to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain SAS analytic solutions to support financial crime initiatives, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in detecting and preventing fraudulent activities. Use SAS DI Studio and SAS EG to create robust data integration flows and perform advanced data manipulation and analysis. Manage and optimize SAS Cubes and Reports for efficient data summarization and visualization. Conduct peer reviews and perform quality checks to ensure the highest standards are met. Handle change requests and issue tracking using JIRA, maintaining clear documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Set up and manage batch jobs, establishing dependencies and scheduling as required. Perform regular environment cleanups, ensuring optimal performance and security. Contribute to the architecture design of SAS solutions, focusing on scalability and robustness. Implement and manage security measures in line with organizational standards and compliance requirements. Enhance system performance through careful analysis and optimization techniques. Provide support during implementations and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime. Monitor SAS environments and solutions, proactively addressing potential issues. Write and maintain base SAS scripts and macros for reusable code and efficient programming.
Qualifications:
Solid experience with SAS 9.4_M3, SAS DI Studio, SAS EG, and other relevant SAS technologies. Proven track record in developing analytics solutions in the payments and financial crime domain. Strong understanding of batch job scheduling, dependencies, and environment management. Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools. Experience with architecture, security, and performance tuning of SAS applications. Ability to write and maintain advanced SAS scripts and macros. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
