About The Role

We are in search of a passionate Senior Data Scientist and Trainer looking to do the best work of their lives and take the Xccelerate platform to the next level!!

At Xccelerate we are on a mission to transform the global workforce through tech enablement and training across key innovation areas, and we are looking for Lead Data Scientist & Trainer that is excited to lead our data science instructors to train the next generation of tech leaders though our Immersive Data Science bootcamp.

Here is your chance to shape the direction of tech education across Hong Kong. By changing the way that people acquire their technical skills and launch new careers in the tech space, you will be moving Hong Kong to a tech enabled work force and regional tech hub.

Role Responsibilities

Work closely and lead a team of instructors to execute the full-time data science bootcamp
Lead data science projects including curriculum development, data science projects and building internal analytic systems
Deliver instruction to students, including teaching classes, advising on assignments, and regular curriculum development.
Provide students and team with meaningful and prompt feedback on their progress.
Mentor students through the development of multiple real world projects that will showcase their abilities to future employers
Facilitate a dynamic and interactive learning environmentInspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning complex subjects.
Contribute to the material and direction of an expanding global curriculum, ensuring the course remains cutting-edge and effective for students worldwide.

About You

4+ years of professional data science experience (candidates with less experience will be considered for the data specialist & trainer position)
Degree in Computer Science/ Math or a related field / candidates with masters/ advanced degrees in related disciplines is a plus
Previous experience as an educator and/or training provider is preferred
Fluent written and spoken English, and Cantonese/ Mandarin is a plus
Strong programming skills in R, Python, familiar with Packages Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, Sci-kit learn, TensorFlow, Keras and PyTorch for deep learning is a must
Knowledge in NLP, Computer Vision and Recommendation Systems, Statistical Learning and Modelling is required
Knowledge in Data Engineering including but not limited to SQL, Data Warehouse, Cloud Platforms like GCP and AWS
Strong interest in state-of-the-art technology and passionate about adult learning
