This team sits within AWS and drives short-term and long-term growth around our Compute, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), web3, and Edge services. Our team consists of Specialists (who drive go-to-market strategy), Solutions Architects (technical experts), and Program Managers (driving business efficiency, creating scaling mechanisms, etc.)
Position Overview
The AWS Compute, Storage, & Edge Worldwide Specialist Organization is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, data-driven, entrepreneurial Program Manager (PM). This individual will report to the Head of Web3 GTM, focusing on creating and overseeing programs and mechanisms to support our, and drive web3 initiatives that will shape the overall future growth of the web3 business. Additionally, they will provide necessary operational, and budgeting support, as well as own external and internal team communications including business narratives. The ideal candidate will be versatile, an exemplary team player, and willing / able to create order out of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have experience building programs to support technical and business audiences and can bring relevant experience, superior judgement, great follow-through, strong problem-solving, and communications skills.
The program manager will use data driven approach to verify business decisions, dive deep into customer trends, technical adoption patterns, and market segment trajectory to determine focus areas and strategic initiatives. They work closely with the team members and collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize and deliver business needs. Potential programs could include developing workshops that can be easily repeated and adapted at a global level, building ways to increase a sense of community, and creating KPIs and dashboards that reflect service adoption and potential blockers. They will work with hiring managers and newly hired employees to build and update various programs to get employees quickly up-to-speed. They will work with GEO and Regional leaders to understand what success looks like, create best practices, and scale the GTM motions for the web3 business. Areas of focus may include working across internal teams to create and drive both internal and external regional events that support our overall business; working across various AWS teams to create and drive enablement and go to market activities that increase awareness of various key technologies and programs; and creating process and overseeing complex project and pipeline management.
The right candidate will bring a proven track-record managing business programs and the ability to earn trust and work effectively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams, demonstrate proven track record of discovering and applying insights toward creating new mechanisms that help build and scale the program, and will always “roll up the sleeves” to get things done. Passion for working with cross-functional teams to help customers drive transformative business outcome through the cloud is a must. Being able to translate your skillsets into a customer-obsessed, data-driven Amazon culture, and operating effectively in a fast-moving cross-functional environment to drive clear outcome and results is key to your success in this role. Finally, the ideal candidate will possess stellar writing skills, in addition to verbal communication.
