*We are looking for an Associate Data Scientist (or Data Analyst or Data Scientist, depending on experience) to join our Data Science department.
Position Summary**
The position is primarily aimed at analysis and reporting for our internal Product department. Our products generally focus on providing insights from hospital and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) data to a variety of customers including hospitals, health systems, health plans, ACOs, and other similar health or data exchange entities. This role will be responsible for using real-time and historical healthcare data and user data to investigate new product opportunities and determine the health and user behavior of our current products. The main skillsets include extracting, cleaning, and preparing data; summarizing, visualizing, and interpreting data for a range of customer personas; and providing recommendations to Product personnel, Data Science personnel, management, other departments, and external clients
What you'll work on
- Extract data to build metrics or create/update Tableau dashboards to track success toward company, department, and customer KPIs
- Share insights with internal and external customers regarding drivers of success or areas of opportunity
- Analyze data in new areas to help prioritize areas of focus
- Consult with internal and external customers to develop new dashboards, metrics, KPIs, outcomes evaluation, or ROI
- Respond to ad hoc analytic requests from internal and external customers
- Understand and use the data warehouse and relational databases
- Ensure accurate quality of deliverables by participating in peer review
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, public health, economics, social science, or actuarial science. Master’s degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience related to analytics work or equivalent combination of education and experience (experience and skillsets are used to determine the appropriate level in the job family)
- Previous healthcare related industry experience a plus
- Experience with data manipulation tools such as Python; data visualization tools such as Tableau; and data extraction via querying languages (SQL)
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- AI Fluency and/or use of M365 Copilot
- Ability to meet deadlines, work with tight schedules, and manage multiple priorities under minimum supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with cleaning, aggregating, and pre-processing data from varied sources. Experience creating complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad hoc data mining purposes.
