Role overview
The Data Scientist will join the Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences team to enhance research projects focusing on understanding gene expression and retinal disease. The role requires leading the development and maintenance of image analysis, data processing, and managing databases of the project. The candidate will also be responsible for orchestrating data extraction and cleaning processes to ensure data integrity, as well as conditioning AI models for advanced predictive analytics. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with team members to gain skills in advanced microscopy and sample preparation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions in ongoing research projects and the application of data models for improving experimental accuracy are key aspects of the position. The candidate will also oversee the development of data management frameworks, ensuring data accessibility and integrity for informed decision-making.
What we're looking for
Experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on advanced data processing, AI model development, and statistical analysis. Proficiency in Python and various data engineering tools. Experience in managing data extraction processes and implementing neural networks and AI models for video and microscopy data. Strong background in conducting data analysis, developing predictive analytics or experience with advanced microscopy.
Salary Range-$55,000-$70,000
