Role overview

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our StudioLAB team - an innovation-focused group that shapes the next generation of creative and production technology across. 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. In this role, you'll directly drive innovation across our cinematic pipelines and theatrical experiences, applying cutting-edge ML techniques to solve unique creative challenges that impact globally recognized entertainment products. This individual contributor position offers a rare blend of technical ML work with creative applications, allowing you to see your solutions come to life in major films and experiences. We are a diverse and welcoming team that focuses on collaborative and supportive ways of working.

What you'll work on

  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.

What we're looking for

  • Experience deploying ML in a large-scale, distributed environment.
  • Familiarity with Docker or other containerization systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Understanding of MLOps practices and tools.
  • Background in areas such as computer vision, graphics, generative AI, machine learning, or simulation.
  • Experience working in a production software development environment with automated testing and build tools.
  • Prior work in entertainment, media, or creative industries.
