Role overview
Are you an experienced engineer who’s enthusiastic about using cutting-edge AI technologies and making a real impact on the lives of our customers and colleagues? Then get in touch as soon as you can!
You are a senior engineer who enjoys building real products—not just prototypes. You can move fast, but you don’t cut corners on production readiness. You’re comfortable in ambiguity, you make good trade-offs, and bring structure and calm to experimentation. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take ownership from problem framing to measurable outcomes.
Furthermore, you have:
- 5+ years of building and shipping backend/software systems (strong Python experience, testing, code reviews, CI/CD)
- experience building and deploying AI solutions used by real people (not just notebooks)
- hands-on experience creating solutions based on large language models (e.g., RAG, tool use, agents, prompt and response management, evaluation)
- a solid understanding of designing and running structured AI experiments and evaluations
- experience working with cloud and data platforms (ideally Azure and Databricks) and integrating with production systems (e.g. streaming/event-driven via Kafka)
- a degree in AI, computer science, software engineering, (applied) mathematics or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
Nice-to-haves:
- practical experience with Docker (and ideally Kubernetes)
- experience with LLMOps patterns: model/agent evaluation harnesses, monitoring, guardrails, cost/latency optimization and incident response for AI services

Someone who thrives in collaborative environments and brings energy, innovation and a solution-oriented mindset to the job. You will need to be based in the Netherlands and be comfortable with a hybrid work model.
