Role overview

Design, development, and implementation of AI-powered applications and services, with a specific focus on cutting edge Machine Learning methods and technologies.
Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate product requirements into technical specifications and actionable development tasks for AI solutions.
Design, develop, and deploy ML solutions to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and enhance user experiences.
Integrate Ml solutions into existing systems and workflows, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Oversee the development process, ensuring adherence to coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment procedures.
Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure AI infrastructure to support AI/ML development.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the AI development process.
Stay current with advancements in AI and related technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Participate in cross-functional collaboration across HCA business functions, IT, and enterprise product teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field - Required
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on AI/ML applications - Required
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams - Required
Object oriented programming in Python and ability to reproduce cutting edge Machine Learning methods using scientific frameworks and libraries.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions (supervised learning, unsupervised learning), generative AI technologies (VLMs, LLMs), and Agentic AI development.
Experience with cloud-based AI platforms and services (e.g. GCP, Azure).
Experience with version control (GitHub, GitHub Actions) and familiarity with IaC (infrastructure as code).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and APIs.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Deep understanding of software development best practices, including coding standards, testing, and deployment - Required
