Tesla is seeking a highly motivated AI/Data Engineer Intern to join our dynamic Energy team in Amsterdam. This role focuses on AI skills harnesses, data intelligence, automation, and fleet health optimization across Tesla’s industry-scale energy products (Megapack and Powerpack). The successful candidate will drive data-driven operational efficiency and contribute directly to Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
What You'll Do
- Data Intelligence: Develop ETL pipelines, dashboards, and workflow automation tools to improve data accessibility and reporting
- Diagnostics & Machine Learning: Build intelligent diagnostics tools and predictive models to enhance fleet health and operational performance
- Automation & AI: Streamline Skills Harnesses and automate data handling (e.g., ticket refinement, data extraction, and workflow orchestration)
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to enhance operational efficiency
- Reporting: Prepare concise technical reports and dashboards to communicate contractual and performance insights to stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field
- Experience or interest in energy systems, SCADA data, or electrical troubleshooting and RCA is a plus
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL frameworks for data manipulation and automation
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and skills
- Experience with machine learning, applied analytics, and operational diagnostics
- Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (C1 level), written and spoken, and a passion for renewable energy and Tesla’s mission
