Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an
**AI Engineer**
to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position is on-site at
**Cambridge, MA.**
This is a great opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The
**AI Engineer**
will design, develop, and lead advanced AI solutions for mission-critical defense programs focused on aircraft engineering solutions. This role supports a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
**Responsibilities for the AI Engineer include:**
* Architect and lead enterprise-level AI solutions and strategies
* Design and develop advanced AI models and oversee data strategy
* Guide model evaluation, performance tuning, and compliance with ethical standards
* Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to align AI solutions with mission goals
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight across projects
**Required Qualifications for the AI Engineer include:**
* 5+ years of experience in AI engineering (7+ years for principal-level)
* Proficiency in AI frameworks and software engineering (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
* Strong leadership and communication skills with proven project management experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
* Active Secret clearance (Able to hold higher level)
**Compensation for the AI Engineer includes:**
* Salary Range: $130,000–$175,000/year depending on experience
* Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick leave as required by law
