What you'll work on
- Technical Leadership – Architect end to end ML solutions (ETL ➜ model training ➜ deployment), set coding standards, perform critical code reviews, and commit production code.
- Team Management – Coach, mentor, and develop a high performing distributed team
- Solution Delivery – Ship production grade RAG systems leveraging vector embeddings, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Healthcare Domain Execution – Ensure HIPAA compliance, secure PHI handling, and seamless EHR/FHIR integration.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Translate technical concepts into executive friendly roadmaps; demo progress to clinicians and C suite sponsors.
- Operational Excellence – Build SOPs, runbooks, and MLOps workflows (CI/CD, monitoring, cost optimization) that scale.
What we're looking for
- MS/PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science (healthcare focus), or related field
- Startup or consulting experience shipping AI products in healthcare or highly regulated settings
- Deep familiarity with cloud native ML stacks (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex, Azure ML), container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC
- Proficiency with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) for model & infra monitoring
- Business acumen: GTM strategy design, contract/vendor negotiation for AI software
- Active thought leadership in AI for healthcare communities (conferences, meet ups); history of upskilling teams via workshops or masterminds
