*AI/ML Engineer – Cyber (PIN Environment Support)
Overview**
Tech(x) is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to support advanced cybersecurity operations within Protected Internal Network (PIN) environments. This role focuses on developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models that enhance threat detection, anomaly identification, and cyber defense capabilities across DoD network enclaves.
The ideal candidate will bridge data science, cyber operations, and system engineering, supporting mission-critical initiatives within C5ISR and enterprise cyber infrastructures.
What you'll work on
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to support cyber threat detection and analysis
- Apply AI/ML techniques to:
- Network traffic analysis
- Intrusion detection and prevention
- Insider threat detection
- Behavioral analytics
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into secure PIN (Protected Internal Network) environments
- Analyze large datasets from:
- Network logs
- SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic)
- Endpoint and sensor data
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for training and operationalizing models
- Deploy models into production using MLOps practices
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives
- Ensure solutions align with DoD cybersecurity standards (RMF, STIGs, NIST frameworks)
- Provide technical guidance and SME support to engineering and cyber teams
- Document methodologies, models, and system integration approaches
- Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML or data science
