Role overview
Emotech is currently raising the state-of-the-art in multiple areas of speech and language processing. We focus on the low resource languages that others find too difficult and currently have best-in-kind speech to text and text to speech for Arabic dialects. We are looking for Speech Applied Research Scientists who want to boost their careers working in real-life projects that can make a difference to our customers.
As an Applied Research Scientist, you will be responsible for
- Conducting applied research in areas like speech to text and text to speech
- Collaborating closely with the research team to turn research into working solutions
- Delivering production-ready code that can be deployed to customers
What we're looking for
These are the requirements for the role, we want to hear from you if you fit at least 2 or 3 of these:
- 2/3 years working experience in the field in industry or academia
- Experience working with foundation speech models like wav2vec2.0 or Whisper
- Experience with open source environments like Huggingface or SpeechBrain
- Experience in Linux environments, working with CUDA-capable machines
- Experience working with large amounts of data and performing data processing at scale.
