Role overview
B&A is looking for an Associate AI Solutions Engineer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and building scalable, impactful solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, product managers, and customers to translate requirements into functional AI solutions while gaining hands-on experience with modern AI technologies and platforms.
What you'll work on
- Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Support the integration of AI models into existing systems, applications, and workflows
- Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in data preparation, model evaluation, and performance tuning
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AI-driven solutions in development and production environments
- Contribute to solution documentation, technical guides, and knowledge sharing
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices
- Follow responsible AI, security, and data privacy guidelines
What we're looking for
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience working with LLMs, generative AI, or prompt engineering
- Familiarity with data processing tools and databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Internship, academic projects, or hands-on experience building AI or ML applications
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Interest in applied AI use cases such as chatbots, recommendation systems, computer vision, or NLP
