Role overview

**About Mentalyc:**

At Mentalyc, we’re reimagining how therapy is supported. Our mission is to make therapists’ lives easier, reduce burnout, and give them back the time and energy to focus on what matters most—their clients.

We believe therapy should be more effective, measurable, and deeply human. That’s why we combine the best of AI with the wisdom of clinicians, turning session notes and treatment planning into tools that empower therapists rather than overwhelm them.

What drives us is not just technology, but the impact it has on the people who use it: less paperwork, clearer insights, and stronger therapeutic relationships. Every feature we build starts with one question—how can this make a therapist’s work lighter and more meaningful?

We’re building a future where therapists are supported, not burdened, by technology. And we won’t stop until therapy feels more fulfilling—for both clinicians and clients.

**What We Offer:**

* Opportunity to work at the intersection of psychotherapy, AI, and cutting-edge technology.
* Collaborative work environment with a diverse and international team.
* A remote-first, flexible environment where outcomes matter more than hours.
* Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design, test, and iterate prompt templates that align with therapeutic modalities and clinical guidelines
* Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate prompt logic into product workflows
* Conduct prompt validation studies (comparing AI output with clinician standards) and provide feedback for refinement
* Create prompt variation libraries and guardrails to minimize bias, hallucination, or clinically irrelevant output
* Monitor prompt performance, track metrics (accuracy, relevance, user satisfaction), and recommend optimizations
* Help document best practices and prompt standards for internal use

**Requirements:**

* Licensed or clinically trained in mental health (therapist, psychologist, clinical social worker) OR strong clinical background
* Experience or familiarity with AI / language models / prompt engineering (even if entry-level)
* Ability to translate clinical requirements into effective prompt structures
* Extremely detail-oriented and able to troubleshoot prompt failures
* Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and clinical teams

**Nice-to-Haves:**

* Curious and experimental mindset
* Clinical rigor and safety-mindedness
* Comfortable working in an evolving field
* Strong analytical thinking and willingness to iterate
