Role overview

The Creative Lab sits within Spotify Advertising, the business unit within Spotify that focuses on connecting brands to millions of fans around the world. Our team is Spotify Advertising’s in-house creative agency, responsible for building branded experiences. We collaborate with brands and agencies to inspire, create, and scale creativity with Spotify-first thinking. We here at Creative Lab are storytellers who are obsessed with how ideas can be brought to life through the superpowers of our platform, and we are looking for someone to help lead through our next evolution, championing the potential of our products and offerings, and elevate our work.

We are seeking a seasoned creative strategist to be based in London, UK, joining our talented creative strategy team. This creative strategist will be dedicated to inspiring the best ideas centered around Spotify through proactive and reactive responses to creative briefs, co-creating and building with our biggest brands, creators, and advertisers today. While the job is located in our London headquarters, this is focused on global accounts which means that the work may be focused on the UK and US (majority) or in some cases across markets throughout Europe, India, South Korea and Singapore depending on where our clients are based.

The ideal candidate is a visionary strategist who truly embraces the blend of technology and storytelling. They think ahead, always planning the next feature or product in the innovation pipeline with immersive storytelling in mind for the industry. Their skills are varied: they can provide audience-centered ideas that meet brand objectives; meet with CCOs or CMOs at Fortune 500 brands to motivate future innovations and recommendations; and develop narratives, playbooks, and frameworks to assist internal and external collaborators in understanding platform possibilities.

The ideal candidate will build and lead our response to global, multinational clients including major CPG, tech and telco brands. Experience with global clients in portfolio settings or multi-market campaigns is required due to cross-regional duties. They will report directly to the Head of EMEA & Global Accounts at Creative Lab and join a diverse group of skilled creative strategists.

Though this is an IC role, the global account strategist will work with creative strategists in each region. They will lead global clients and initiatives as an upstream partner with centers of excellence and global brand teams. They inspire others to the mission and solve complex creative and operational problems. They think broadly about advertising industry dynamics and their impact on business. They apply this knowledge to our positioning, products, programs, and offerings.

And along the way, they will build a portfolio of work that wins awards and recognition. This success shows that creativity on Spotify is key to amplifying communications in a complex, crowded IRL and digital landscape.
