Blu Omega is seeking a
highly skilled
Data Analytics Specialist to deliver advanced analytical solutions and actionable insights that drive mission success. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects supporting national security objectives, leveraging data science, AI/ML, and visualization tools to transform complex data into strategic outcomes.
In this role, you’ll work on-site, side by side a talented team of professionals, ensuring the workforce training and development of our DOD customer.
**This role requires an active Secret Clearance, at minimum.**
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead analytical efforts and provide high-quality insights to support strategic objectives.
* Translate user requirements into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions.
* Conduct exploratory data analysis, model development, and evaluation to identify actionable insights.
* Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences in clear, concise language.
* Establish advanced analysis and visualization methodologies using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
* Identify and process raw data, trends, and assessments to aggregate disparate information sources.
* Develop and refine AI/ML models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
* Apply data science techniques using Python or similar libraries for data cleaning, EDA, statistical analysis, and visualization in an Agile environment.
**Qualifications:**
* Active Secret Clearance.
* Ability to work onsite in El Segundo, CA five days per week.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of experience in analytics, data visualization, and data science.
* Knowledge of Palantir, dashboarding tools, and process automation (e.g., Power Automate).
* Proficiency in advanced analytics tools and programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
* Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world problems.
* Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks.
* Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
**Nice to Have:**
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
* Familiarity with DoD AI landscape, policies, and security requirements.
* Experience managing the lifecycle of AI solutions, including deployment and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Experience with data engineering, ETL processes, and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
* Understanding of UI/UX principles for data visualization and human-centered design.
* Familiarity with MLOps tools like Databricks MLFlow and DevOps practices for machine learning.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
