Join our Team and advance your career as a Data Scientist
Data scientist position in the global pricing team focused on optimizing time series forecasts and taking actionable insights influencing global business outcomes across the globe.
What you'll work on
Build scalable, reusable data science products using statistical and machine learning algorithms
Perform data analyses to generate actionable business insights
Advocate and enforce to guidelines: invent reviews, unit testing, monitoring, code reviews, and documentation
Present results to peers and senior leadership
Drive improvements in developer velocity and team efficiency
At least a year of practical experience following DS/DE education or solid years of practical experience in data science/data engineer/machine learning engineering roles
Practical knowledge of fundamentals of statistics, machine learning and data science (over-/under-fitting, dataset management, feature engineering, understanding of machine learning algorithms and their implementations)
Confirmed understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data lifecycle methods
Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++
Advanced SQL and version control (Git/SVN)
Experience with experimental design and analysis
Customer-focused, diligent, and outcome personality
Strong partner management and influence skills
Continuous learning mentality
Desirable Criteria:
Time series forecasting and modelling experience
Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, and Spark) is a plus.
No prior experience in the energy industry required
