Williams Consulting, LLC (WCLLC, a government contracting firm, is seeking a Computer Programmer / Data Scientist to support a federal prevention-oriented public health initiative through advanced data management, statistical analysis, and simulation modeling. This role is responsible for developing high-quality analytic datasets and producing rigorous, reproducible analyses that inform evaluation findings and support evidence-based decision making.

The Computer Programmer / Data Scientist will work closely with project leadership to translate analytic requirements into well-documented, defensible analytic products.

The successful candidate will bring experience developing and validating analytic code, managing large and complex datasets, conducting advanced statistical and simulation analyses, and ensuring data quality, documentation, and reproducibility across all analytic outputs.

What you'll work on

  • Provides high expertise in creating analytic files and analyzing data using various software (e.g. SAS, SPSS, etc.)
  • Conduct regression and statistical analysis, and simulation modeling
  • Produce tables, graphs, and figures
  • Verifies accuracy and validity of programs by preparing sample test data and test plans
  • Corrects program errors, modifies programs when required by changes in procedures and reports desired
  • Develops and maintains codes

What we're looking for

  • Master’s degree in computer science, economics or relevant social science
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Cancer Research experience preferred
  • Expertise in creating analytic files and analyzing data using various software such as SAS, SPSS and similar tools
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining code
  • Proficient in regression and statistical analysis, and simulation modeling
  • Ability to prepare sample test data and test plans
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical software and large datasets
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Must provide three (3) management references that can attest to qualifications
  • Background investigation required

*Working Conditions and Requirements

Location:** Remote (Atlanta Georgia-based preferred)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
