Role overview
This is a 12-month, part-time contract (with the possibility of a permanent position) for a graduate-level or early-career data scientist. You will work closely with clinicians, engineers, and researchers to analyse complex biomedical data and help build AI-driven tools for personalised cancer treatment.
You will also contribute to a quantum machine learning (QML) research project in collaboration with UKRI STFC at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus (Didcot, Oxford).
What you'll work on
- Analyse and model complex biomedical and clinical datasets (omics, imaging, and patient records)
- Develop and evaluate machine learning models to predict patient treatment response
- Clean, preprocess, and visualise multimodal datasets
- Contribute to a quantum machine learning research project in collaboration with UKRI STFC
- Work with clinicians, engineers, and researchers to translate insights into product features
- Document methods, experiments, and results in technical reports and publications
- Support general administrative and operational tasks as needed
What we're looking for
You will be based in London, primarily working remotely. You must be willing and able to:
- Travel to the Harwell Campus in Oxford 2–3 times per week
- Travel internationally to France, the United States, and Canada for collaboration and project work
