Position:** Data Scientist

Full Position Salary Range: $89,934.27/year - $113,926.04/year

What you'll work on

  • Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Or a bachelor’s with equivalent skills or experience
  • Ample experience in healthcare analytics, including working with CPT and diagnosis codes.
  • Proficiency in working with Relative Value Units to assess provider productivity, optimize resource allocation, and evaluate financial performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and relational databases.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks and programming languages.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and financial forecasting.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouses, and data cleaning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulation, including HIPAA and PHI management.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with data visualization tools.
  • Experience writing and maintaining clear, structured documentation for data processes, models and workflows
  • Ability to develop financial models that incorporate historical visit trends, payer mix, reimbursement rates, and operational costs to produce accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Bonus: GIS expertise and experience with HL7/FHIR standards.

What we're looking for

  • Design analytical tools and frameworks to monitor business trends, financial, quality, and other performance indicators
  • Identify methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Write SQL code to support dynamic reporting and visualization efforts, including joining data tables and cleaning/harmonizing data fields
  • Execute ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions from internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Build and maintain VP-, C-Suite-, and Board-level reports and KPIs
  • Ensure data collection and reporting processes are in compliance with various local, federal, and private funding requirements, both legal and medical

Interview process

  • Lead the adoption of information architecture that meets and evolves with the organization’s needs
  • Implement data strategy, build data capacity, and optimize systems to improve patient health outcomes
  • Acquire and standardize data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data systems
  • Initiate data fixes, process improvements, and perform testing/validation activities
  • Manage systems for efficiently collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key data
