Role overview
As a Data Scientist, you are responsible for developing advanced analytics solutions. You work in a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Software Developers and other subject matter experts to gain and share insights into data. Your role contributes directly to improving our customers’ productivity, safety and sustainability. Your produced results will help reduce energy usage and material wastage.
What you'll work on
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s/PhD in applied physics, mathematics, computer science, or data science
- Strong mathematical, analytical, coding, and machine learning skills
- Extensive experience with analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Databricks)
- Knowledge of applied analytics, machine learning methods, and data modelling
- Experience working with database technologies
- Skilled in querying, processing, and analyzing large datasets (BIG data)
- Familiarity with common data visualization tools
- Experience in software development or data engineering (distinct advantage)
- Domain knowledge of Sandvik equipment telemetry data (advantageous)
- Curious mindset with the ability to work independently
- Experience with technologies such as containers, version control systems, databases, and cloud services.
