YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL
The Tribe Artificial Intelligence aims to deliver an efficient and seamless banking experience for our customers and empower our employees through AI. Our expert team of approximately 100 experts includes Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Managers. We are seeking a Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in developing AI applications, including both generative and traditional AI.

What you'll work on
- You develop AI applications to address various business challenges, including virtual assistants to enhance client experiences, advanced AI tools to support employee efficiency and creativity, and automating and optimizing internal processes.
- You use various analytical methods, including large language models (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, …), Speech AI, agentic AI, image generation and interpretation, and classical statistical/machine learning techniques. While we don't expect you to be an expert in all areas, you should possess very strong expertise in core technologies and the ability to learn new methods as required.
- You ensure scientific rigor in delivered solutions by applying robust methodologies, evaluating model generalization performance, adopting data-centric approaches through error analysis and data curation or augmentation, selecting relevant frameworks, and adhering to responsible AI guideline.
- You present the results of your work directly to stakeholders and managers.
- You contribute to deploying AI applications in production using a comprehensive stack of tools.
- You access one of the richest volumes of varied data in the market and apply your skills to it.
- You evolve in an environment where innovation and lean processes are praised, straight-forward communication is encouraged, and peers understand the meaning of team up.

What we're looking for
- You hold at least a Master’s degree in a quantitative field like statistics, computer science or engineering, with a focus on natural language processing. A PhD is advantageous. Candidates from other academic backgrounds with strong analytics knowledge are also welcome.
- You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in data science, preferably in the financial sector, though less experience may be accepted if your academic achievements are substantial.
- You are fluent in English and have a good command of French and/or Dutch.
- You are proficient in Python for model building and understand ML engineering fundamentals (e.g., versioning systems) to produce code ready for CI/CD pipelines.
