Role overview
GenAI Engineer
As a GenAI Engineer, you’ll build AI-powered agents that dramatically improve how engineering teams work – from automated PR reviews to backlog assistants and code generation tools. This is a fast-moving, prototype-driven role focused on shipping practical, production-ready agentic systems (not a traditional backend/frontend/MLOps position).
What you’ll build
- PR Review Agent – posts AI-generated review comments within seconds
- Code Generation Agent – turns user stories into working PRs
- Backlog Assistant – supports refinement and prioritization using roadmap + context
- Event-Triggered Agents – reacts to DevOps events via webhooks/APIs
These tools are production-grade, used by 100+ engineers, and expected to scale across multiple teams quickly.
Responsibilities
- Design and build GenAI agent systems end-to-end
- Prototype fast (working PoCs in hours)
- Build lightweight UIs when needed
- Integrate with APIs, events, and developer tools
- Improve agent performance, UX, and reliability
- Collaborate on architecture with PMs and engineers
- Focus on user value and avoid over-engineering
Must-haves
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (comfortable across languages)
- Hands-on GenAI/agent development experience (not dependent on high-level SDKs)
- Rapid builder mindset (ship localhost apps fast)
- Product sense and UX thinking
Nice to have
- MCP / skills frameworks
- Cloud fundamentals
- DevOps platform integrations
- Open-source agent frameworks
- Strong GitHub side projects
