About the School
The School of Computer Science, at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, seeks to appoint for the September 2026 semester dynamic and talented academics with expertise in one or many of the following areas: Big Data Management, Big Data Mining Techniques and Implementation, Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Modern Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning models, generative AI and general adversarial networks (GANs), Natural language processing, Computer Vision.
The School of Computer Science aims at producing innovative, well-rounded, hands-on professionals that are well versed in technological and computing concepts and skills. The school offers 7 programs under the umbrella of computer science and IT. Those programs are designed to be practical and focused on industry needed skills in popular areas of computer science and IT, including: Software development, Cyber Security, Big data and AI, Gaming and mobile development, Business information systems, IT management, and digital transformation.
What we're looking for
- Master's degree in Computer Science (minimum qualification for Level A)
- At least 3 years' full‑time teaching experience in higher education
- Hands‑on experience with modern AI and Machine Learning tools and technologies
- Strong foundational knowledge across Computer Science disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to teach and manage undergraduate classes effectively
- Ability to use interactive and contemporary teaching methods
- Teaching experience in the GCC region
- Industry or practice‑based experience in IT, technology, or advanced AI systems
- Emerging or established **research activity in modern AI
Research & Scholarly Activity**
While this is a teaching‑intensive role, candidates with a demonstrated or emerging research track record in AI are encouraged to apply. Opportunities exist to engage in scholarly activity and research collaboration in line with UOWD's academic priorities.
