Role overview
Our client uses an SMS platform to connect food insecure people to nearby restaurants, where they can pick up meals. They are looking for a full-stack engineer to help migrate from our no-code, duct-tape and glue platform to a maintainable, modular, in-house system.
Additionally, they will be running an innovation process in Denver to identify prototypes and eventually develop new products and services that help address food insecurity.
What we're looking for
They don’t know exactly what they’re going to be building. They may be developing a OpenWrt firmware for captive portal wifi in food pantries. Our client is going to be doing research around new products and services for food insecure folks, and so an willingness and ability to learn new tools, frameworks/languages, etc. is key.
Ideal candidate is interested and interesting. This is a project in building products and services for people who are probably going to be very different from you or I. They need to be very open to the idea that the way they see the world is not how others might see it, and that things that work for us may not work for the people they are serving.
