Role overview
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Subject Matter Expert in Machine Learning Engineer with a specialization in Computer Vision to join our Data and AI Practice. This is currently a hybrid position with two days onsite in Ashburn, VA and three days remote.
What you'll work on
- Develop and implement cutting-edge algorithms for computer vision tasks, including object detection, tracking, segmentation and recognition.
- Conduct research on emerging methods, algorithms, and industry trends, translating findings into practical applications. Deploy, operationalize, and scale computer vision models and integrated solutions based on those models.
- Design, develop, and implement highly efficient computer vision solutions.
- Perform comprehensive image preprocessing and augmentation on large datasets of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional data.
- Develop and optimize biometric recognition systems and integrate with predictive modeling pipelines for risk scoring and anomaly detection use cases.
- Lead the integration and successful deployment of trained models and into production environments (e.g., cloud, edge devices). Develop and optimize models for real-time inference and efficiently handle large-scale data processing pipelines.
- Research, evaluate, and benchmark new computer vision technologies and academic advancements to maintain a competitive edge. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Software Engineering, Data Science) to integrate vision systems into final products.
