Role overview
We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help shape the next generation of AI-powered tools for researchers and publishers. You'll work on external-facing products that leverage large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and machine learning to surface and vet scholarly content in smarter, more intuitive ways.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll design and build systems that operate at scale, integrate with frontier AI models, and directly impact how researchers interact with scientific knowledge.

Salary Range: $150,000
What we're looking for
Applied experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, and frameworks like LlamaIndex or LangChain
Experience with TypeScript and React
Familiarity with ML pipelines and model deployment
Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar integration patterns
Background in publishing, healthcare, or research-adjacent industries
