Role overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-ready AI systems powered by modern LLM, retrieval, and agentic architectures.
This role combines strong Python engineering expertise with hands-on experience in GenAI frameworks, vector databases, and cloud-native systems. You will work on scalable AI solutions that integrate advanced retrieval, multi-step reasoning workflows, and enterprise backend services.
What you'll work on
- Design and implement AI-powered backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Develop and refine prompt engineering strategies for production use cases
- Integrate and manage vector databases and embedding models
- Build multi-step and graph-based workflows using LangChain and LangGraph
- Implement AI communication patterns using FastMCP
- Work with multi-agent frameworks (e.g., CrewAI, AutoGen, Taskweave) where applicable
- Deploy and maintain solutions on Azure Cloud, including Azure Functions
- Process and transform large datasets using Pandas and NumPy
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and containerised deployments (Docker)
- Ensure responsible AI practices, including bias mitigation and ethical considerations
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver scalable AI systems

- Familiarity with additional cloud platforms and AI services
- Knowledge of data engineering (pipelines, integration, warehousing)
