Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What you'll work on
- Lead the strategic design and end-to-end execution of long-term projects to advance Gemini Audio capabilities horizontally and scale foundational data infrastructure in a high-impact manner.
- Architect and conduct complex experiments by optimizing high-throughput data pipelines and loaders, managing Gemini model training and evaluation cycles, and delivering data-driven insights to inform technical strategy.
- Drive the integration of high-impact data enhancements into Gemini’s pre-training and post-training mixtures, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality data to improve model performance and capabilities.
- Deliver mission-critical initiatives with agility, effectively navigating evolving requirements and time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining high standards of technical excellence and project momentum.

What we're looking for
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
