Role overview
Paxful is searching for a Software Test Engineer.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will entail:
- Empathy. This is the main thing which drives you when investigating potential user problems and friction within the product.
- Problem-solver attitude. You look for solutions keeping in mind all the ingredients (user problem, business goal, tech limitations and needed effort).
- Analytical thinking. You don’t take any input Data you’ve been given as a guide to immediate actions. You take it with healthy criticism, analyze and come up with a solution.
- Ownership: You don’t need someone to tell you what needs to be done. You do care about your part of the product on any stage of its lifecycle.
- Communication: You speak well and you listen well. You are capable of agreeing with most people around you on any matter.
The most important skill and capabilities for this role are:
- Analysis of defects, incidents and their classification
- Writing test cases
- Non-functional testing (usability, accessibility, performance)
- Product quality control at all stages of the life cycle
- Functional, regression, integration testing
- Control over the release process
- Assistance to developers in localization and problem solving
Target Experience:
- Experience of testing mobile applications (Android, iOS) from 2 years
- Experience in creating test artifacts (test cases, test plans, test reports)
- Experience of REST API testing
- Experience with tools: Postman, Charles Proxy or similar
- Experience and skills in test automation
- Knowledge of mobile UI hydelines will be a plus
