We have worked with many big names in the industry, including; KLM (WiFiI onboard 777), KPMG (Blockchain real estate website), Marktplaats (The login page on), ING (Mobile Banking authentication), Albert Heijn (Meal box planners like Hellofresh and Bierbox), etc.

What your mission is:

As Backend Engineer at Sytac, you contribute to the improvement and optimisation of the online experience of millions of customers. Using the latest technology, you transform the ever-changing insights in the world of e-commerce, aviation and banking into code that works. In short, you use your programming skills to develop, test and implement new functionalities, together with your team.

We have adopted the Spotify Model, which puts you in different chapters according to your expertise with a designated Chapter Lead. When your team needs a break from coding, you can head to the gaming room to fill up your batteries.

Who we are looking for:

Your passion is to work with the latest and greatest technologies that make working with large amounts of data easy, you’re proactive in keeping yourself up to date and trying everything out. You also enjoy laying the architectural foundations for the things you’re working on and taking the initiative to put your input towards solving the business problem with the right technology. You combine forward-thinking and a hands-on attitude. You are able to identify on which fronts a team can grow and will help them get there. You will work in a team with highly skilled people and enjoy a creative atmosphere where trying things out is encouraged.

We mainly have projects using the following technologies and frameworks:

- Java 11+, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring

- Apache Spark, Akka, Kafka, Flink

- Kubernetes, Docker

- Cassandra DB, Hadoop, SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL

- CI/CD

And to really impress us, you even:

- Have experience with AWS or/and Azure

- Are an Evangelist of solid development practices: TDD, CI, CD, etc

- Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash preferably is knowledge in your armory

We are following a rigorous 3-step interview process. Besides your technical capabilities, being a good communicator and having strong analytical skills play an important role. We heavily invest in our engineers both in your technical skills and your well-being. You will receive continuous support and guidance from your chapter lead and consultant manager through bi-annual performance evaluations.
