Bio
I’m Dion Haneveld, a passionate technologist with a strong academic background in Computer Science. I completed my MSc through a joint degree program between the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, successfully finishing both the Green IT and Software Engineering track as well as the Artificial Intelligence track. Midway through my studies, I transitioned into AI with the committee’s approval, based on strong academic performance, and completed the full curriculum of both specializations. My academic path also included time at Korea University and Seoul National University, where I gained international experience and a broader perspective on global technology, innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration. This diverse and interdisciplinary education has shaped how I approach complex systems—with a balance of sustainability, scalability, and intelligence. I began programming at the age of 11, driven by curiosity and a desire to create. Much of my foundational knowledge was built through hands-on experience—writing code, breaking things, and learning by doing. Over the years, I explored a wide variety of languages, technologies, and paradigms, which gave me a strong, intuitive grasp of software development long before formal studies. My academic journey later helped to deepen this practical expertise with solid theoretical underpinnings, allowing me to bridge real-world problem solving with academic rigor.
