EP 92 // Have We Forgotten How to Experience God? | Faith, Neuroscience & the Missing Conversation
Listen to episode
About this episode
Why do so many Christians know the Bible... yet still feel anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from God's peace?
For years, I believed the answer was simple: pray more, read my Bible more, trust God more.
I did all of those things.
Yet I still found myself living with fear, emotional exhaustion, and reactions I couldn't seem to change.
It wasn't until my marriage nearly fell apart that I began asking a different question:
What if we've become really good at teaching people how to know about God... but haven't always taught them how to experience Him?
In this episode, I share my personal story and the journey that led me into studying neuroscience, the nervous system, trauma, the subconscious mind, and neurotheology—not to replace my faith, but to better understand the incredible way God designed us.
In this episode you'll discover:
✨ Why knowing biblical truth isn't always the same as experiencing God's peace
✨ How your nervous system influences your ability to feel safe, connected, and present with God
✨ Why anxiety isn't always a faith problem
✨ What Elijah's story teaches us about God's care for our bodies
✨ How understanding neuroscience has actually strengthened my faith
If you've ever wondered:
- "Why do I still feel anxious if I trust God?"
- "Why doesn't praying seem to change how I feel?"
- "Why do I know God loves me but still struggle to experience His peace?"
…I think this episode will encourage you.
