Role overview
- Senior Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales or solutions engineering context.
- AI & Data Proficiency: Deep experience with Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning. You understand the difference between Data Engineering and Data Science and can navigate the technical nuances of AI Assistants and Data Services.
- Cloud Architecture Skills: Proficiency with one or more major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and an understanding of hybrid deployment factors (public vs. private cloud).
- Enterprise Governance: You understand that a Data Lake is more than just a storage dump. You are well-versed in the problems of Operations, Security, and Data Governance required to make AI safe for the enterprise.
- Technical Versatility: Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing (e.g., Iceberg), or Relational Databases, as well as familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Communication Mastery: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to whiteboard complex architectures and gather business requirements effectively.
- Passion & Curiosity: A willingness to learn, a curiosity to discover new use cases for Cloudera technology, and a drive to make your customers successful.
