Manager - AI Engineering

What you'll work on

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI models utilizing frameworks such as TensorFlow and other machine learning tools.
• Manage cross-functional teams focused on data mining, natural language processing (NLP), and unsupervised learning techniques to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
• Oversee the integration of AI solutions with cloud platforms like AWS, ensuring robust model training, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to develop efficient ETL processes, database schemas, and data pipelines using tools like Talend, Hadoop, Spark, and Bash scripting.
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging AI trends such as quantum engineering and linked data to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Ensure best practices in model validation, performance tuning, and analytics reporting using tools like Looker and SAS.
• Establish standards for database design, model versioning, and documentation to promote transparency and reproducibility across projects.
• Mentor team members on machine learning frameworks (e.g., R, Python), programming languages (Java, C), and model deployment strategies for scalable production environments.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience managing AI engineering teams in a fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Extensive knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and SQL-based databases for data analysis and processing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), along with experience in natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS for model training and deployment at scale.
• Strong background in data mining, database design, ETL processes, and analytics tools including SAS and Looker.
• Familiarity with advanced concepts such as unsupervised learning algorithms and quantum engineering principles is a plus.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire technical teams while collaborating effectively across departments.
