AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Digital Technician / Data Scientist to support our Quantity Surveying and Cost Management teams in the Dubai, UAE office. The candidate will play a pivotal role in leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance project efficiency, accuracy, and data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for digital innovation in the construction sector and wants to be a part of the success of the creation and implementation of planned and future digital initiatives.

What you'll work on
Digital Support for quantity surveying and cost management teams:
- Collaborate with quantity surveyors to ensure seamless integration of digital workflows into traditional practices.
- Enhance and support cost planning, cost control, and value engineering processes using digital platforms.
- Maintain and update databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for project teams.
- Generate information rich reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
Data Management & Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and analyse project data to provide actionable insights for cost management.
- Develop and maintain digital templates, workflows, and automation scripts to improve efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards and protocols.
Technology Implementation:
- Provide training and technical support to team members on digital tools and processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
- Support cross-functional teams in adopting digital practices and fostering a culture of innovation.
What we're looking for
A degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Digital Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field with a **minimum GPA of 2.8
Specific Skills Required:**
- An understanding of common construction industry digital tools like BIM authoring and management software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, ACC, Solibri, Aconex), CostX, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Python, SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with programming and developing automation tools with Dynamo, Python, VBA or similar scripting languages.
- The ideal candidate would have experience working in teams to deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Effective communicate, including speaking to groups and providing training sessions from time to time would be required.
- Well established organization and time management skills.
- Confident to engage and positively challenge with other team members across disciplines and of different seniorities.
- Be inclusive and supportive and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
