Role overview
Our client is looking for a Machine Learning Research Lead to drive the development of a centralized ML research platform used across multiple trading teams. You’ll work on cutting-edge predictive modeling, feature engineering, and custom ML architectures partnering closely with traders, researchers, and engineers to push innovation in automated trading.
What you'll work on
- Lead the design and deployment of ML models to improve trading performance.
- Research, prototype, and test new algorithmic and ML ideas.
- Translate market insights into data-driven features and production models.
- Oversee data pipelines and feature engineering for diverse datasets.
- Mentor junior researchers and guide ML strategy and infrastructure decisions.
What we're looking for
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
- 4+ years of applied ML experience; trading experience preferred.
- Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
- Deep understanding of advanced ML methods and predictive modeling.
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
Position can be in NYC or Chicago
